Is mediocrity in the workplace a symptom of an organization’s culture or design, individual choice, or bad management? Is the remedy for mediocrity dependent upon the cause? I’m still debating this in my own mind so I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject.

I wonder if it’s a combination of all those things? We know that each one of these things can lead to a less effective organization, but I don’t know which might be the most important driver. But I do know that you must address the true cause in order to really solve the problem. Getting to the bottom of it may be the most important thing…and a great research study!
